FAQs

Questions new drivers ask

Can I get temporary cover if I've just passed my test?

Often, yes. Whether we can cover you depends on your age, licence and the car. You'll find out during the quote.

Can learner drivers get temporary car insurance?

Yes. Learner cover lets you practise in someone else's car on your own policy. You must have a provisional licence and a qualified supervising driver with you.

Why is cover more expensive for young drivers?

Insurers price on risk, and less driving experience means a higher price. Our quote shows the full cost before you pay.

Will a claim affect the car owner?

No. The policy is in your name, so the owner's insurance and no-claims bonus aren't affected.

How long can I be covered for?

Anywhere from 1 hour to 30 days.
