DRIVER STAGE

Temporary insurance for a provisional licence holder.

Build cover around a supervised practice session, with questions focused on the learner, car and exact period.

STAGE 1

A provisional licence is only one requirement

The learner must also follow supervision, plate and vehicle rules. Insurance confirms only the cover described in the policy; it does not confirm that every other legal requirement has been met.

STAGE 2

Use an eligible car

Ask the owner’s permission, confirm the registration and check the vehicle is roadworthy, taxed and has a valid MOT where required. Eligibility depends on the complete quote.

STAGE 3

Choose practice time carefully

Allow time for the route, manoeuvres, breaks and returning the car. Starting early or finishing after expiry would leave the learner outside the selected policy window.

STAGE 4

After the practical test

Licence status changes immediately on passing. Learner cover may no longer be suitable, so arrange the correct full-licence insurance before driving again.
