DRIVER STAGE

Temporary car insurance built around your driving stage.

Tell us whether you are learning or have passed, then add the car and period. The questions adapt to the licence you actually hold.

STAGE 1

Temporary cover for a defined need

A temporary policy can cover one eligible driver on one vehicle for a set period. It may suit private practice, test day or borrowing a car after passing, subject to the insurer’s eligibility and policy terms.

STAGE 2

Start with the driver

Covaro asks about licence type and experience before the vehicle. Learners confirm supervision, while full-licence drivers provide the information relevant to when they passed.

STAGE 3

Add the car and cover window

Enter the registration, verify the returned vehicle and choose a period that includes the whole practice session or journey. The owner’s permission and the vehicle’s roadworthiness are still required.

STAGE 4

Cover begins after confirmation

A quote is not insurance. Review the insurer, excess, restrictions and policy wording, complete payment and wait for an active certificate naming the correct driver and vehicle before driving.

NEXT

Check before you drive

Enter accurate details, review the insurer and regulatory disclosure, and wait for active policy confirmation before driving.
